We aim to maximise the benefits of tourism to Morocco
in general and Marrakesh in particular, whilst minimising the environmental impact.
We endeavour to run our riad in a responsible manner, respectful of the environment
and our social obligations.
Whilst we recognise that a vital part of your stay with us is relaxation and
having a high level of comfort and service, we encourage you to consider the
environment in your stay with us.
We ask clients to re-use towels where appropriate, and be mindful of electricity
and water usage. We have installed solar heating for hot water, and wood-burning
stoves for more efficient heating. We also have tried to install showers and
taps that minimise water usage whilst giving high customer satisfaction. We are
committed to exploring further ways of reducing our environmental impact through
re-cycling and reducing wastage.
We will normally change towels and linen every two days, unless you are only
staying three days. If you require clean towels before this please leave them
on the floor of the bathroom. Otherwise please hang them up for re-use.
Try to remember to turn light off when you leave the rooms, and, being mindful
of your comfort, turn off the air conditioning in the summer when you are not
in the room.
We aim to treat our employees fairly and pay them a fair wage. We also support
their development.
We ask you to be respectful of local customs and appropriate dress and we will
be happy to advise you of these.
The giving of charity to the poor and infirm is a central part if Islamic culture,
However be aware of the impact of your money if you decide to give to beggars.
You may wish to give money to one of the charities that we support.
